"Journey to the Origins" Stay – Exploring the Geopark

Three days at the ends of the earth to discover half of Earth's history! The Hague Geopark is a kind of Norman Finistère, where the land ends… and yet its coastline takes us back to the origins of our planet and reveals more than 2 billion years of its history… Norman geologist and photographer Arnaud Guérin invites you to discover the oldest rocks in France, ancient volcanoes, three mountain ranges, the history of ice ages and climates… All this at the best time of year, when the moors are crimson and the light is otherworldly… A journey on foot, to take the time to travel back millions of years. Three days full of exchanges and encounters, notably with Yoann, head of the SNSM (French Sea Rescue Society) at the Goury station, bordered by the "Raz Blanchard," one of the most powerful ocean currents in Europe. Your accommodation: Hotel Le Cap, in Auderville. This trip is offered in collaboration with the municipality of La Hague. Included: Three days of guidance from Arnaud Guérin, geologist and professional photographer. Two nights at the Hôtel Le Cap in Auderville. All meals (local picnic lunches on days 1, 2, and 3) and dinners at restaurants (days 1 and 2). Meetings with a former sea rescuer and the coastal conservationist.
