Numerous educational programs are developed by the team of facilitators at Le Tourp, the La Hague Geopark, both within the facility and in the field during visits to geosites. Beyond a program specifically designed for classes from preschool to high school, the La Hague Geopark adapts its outreach to all ages, allowing everyone to deepen their knowledge of local heritage, the environment, and sustainable development. Some of the Geopark's ambassadors contribute to further enriching these programs.

As a central facility in the educational offering of the La Hague Geopark, the Tourp offers an educational program adapted to different school levels, from kindergarten to high school.
By drawing on the rich heritage of the territory (archaeological, landscape, geological, natural, historical...) and different formats (workshops, visits, educational tools...), the offer makes it possible to mobilize a range of skills identified in school programs.

A documentary film: Hague, a mineral tale of a planet in motion
To understand the geological history witnessed by La Hague, a documentary film of about twenty minutes is available in the chapel at Le Tourp.

A timeline of geological time
Along the "Tourp promenade", a 90-meter-long frieze allows this journey through time to be completed, from the birth of the Earth 4.6 billion years ago to the present day, without changing scale for greater educational value.

The media library of the tourp
This media library, specializing in local heritage, has a unique collection of documents to discover all the secrets of La Hague, past and present.

The conferences and debates
The Hague conference-debates cycle is intended each year as part of the Hague cultural programming, a moment of meetings and reflection with recognized specialists, around a theme, an issue, put forward by news.

Science in the Hague, annual Geopark conference
This annual meeting, whose programming is initiated by the scientific council of the Grand Site and Géoparc La Hague, aims each year to take stock of the latest research carried out in the region.

Heritage cafes
Held monthly in the Tourp media library, these mini-conferences offer insights from specialists on various heritage topics: history, nature, architecture… everything that makes the Hague region unique

Publications
Driven by the desire to showcase the natural, cultural and intangible heritage of the territory, the La Hague Geopark relies on scientific partners to equip itself with tools for understanding its territory.

The Hague
La Hague houses an exceptional geological heritage. A very small territory, barely 150 km², it allows to plunge into 2.1 billion years of history of the earth, that is to say to observe the oldest mainland in mainland France and to tell half of the history of our planet. It indeed contains the remains of three old mountain chains: the Icartian chain (dated 2 billion years), the Cadomian chain (between 650 and 540 million years) and the Varisque (or Hercynian; built; built around 300 million years ago). The sedimentary deposits constituting some of its lively cliffs also make it possible to assess fluctuations in the sea level and climate change for the last 200,000 years.
