La Hague is known for the quality of its landscapes. Its coastal fringe, in particular, is subject to national protection under the site policy (1930 law). However, camping and caravanning are prohibited in classified sites*, except in authorized campsites.
Campsites
Two campsites are open in the area:
- The municipal campsite of Le Hâble (Omonville-la-Rogue) https://campingduhable.lahague.com/
- The municipal campsite of La Devise (Vauville) https://www.encotentin.fr/campings/camping-municipal-la-devise/
Other identified locations for motorhomes and campervans
In addition to campsites, while waiting to propose a reception scheme for its travelling visitors, which is in accordance with the regulations in force in its territory, the municipality has identified various locations available to users of motorhomes/converted vans to allow them to park, in complete serenity, at night.
These locations are as follows (Location / Latitude / Longitude):
- Parking at the Chapel of Saint Germain-des-Vaux / 49.711846°/-1.915255°
- Parking at Maison Millet / 49.680712 /-1.791777°
- Tourp car park / 49.688481 / -1.837742°
- Jobourg Stadium car park / 49.679328° / -1.905310°
- Parking located in the village of Biville / 49.613229°/-1.820688°
- Picnic area located in Biville / 49.625981 / -1.799804°
Motorhome owners are asked to leave these reception areas before the facilities open, so as to restore their use as parking lots.
Some recommendations
Motorhome owners are strongly advised to favour the "car" routes, to avoid finding themselves in difficult situations, as the narrowness of the roads and hamlets of La Hague is well known.
