The panorama of Landemer
The belvedere shows the cliffs of Gréville, painted by Jean-François Millet.
In the foreground, the foreshore and the lower part of the cliffs are made up of Icartian orthogneiss, similar to that of the Castel Vendon.
The upper part, active, of the cliffs corresponds to the quaternary periglacial deposits of the slope, similar to those of Ecalgrain or Herquemoulin.
Under the sea, there are Green Siltite training similar to those of Urville-Nacqueville. They are not visible because they are less resistant to marine erosion.

In the background, in clear weather, we can observe the site of the Pointe d'Etimbert, which shows pebbles aligned and stretched in a Cambrian conglomerate.
The landscape makes it possible to imagine how the different layers stacked each other because of the variety tectonics. The Green Siltites of Urville-Nacqueville are carved above the Icartian orthogneiss. In turn, the Orthogneiss are carried above the Cambrian conglomerate.
