2.7 km and 95 m of elevation gain
The upstream wind walk takes place on the northeast coast of La Hague and has the theme "realism or imagination". It allows you to immerse yourself in a landscape that inspired many paintings by the painter Jean-François Millet, such as the famous rock of Castel Vendon, but also to discover the legends that are embodied in the hamlets, rocks, moors and hollow paths of La Hague and collected by Jean Fleury during the 19th century, both originally from La Hague.
This landscape with its gentle slopes covered in ferns and dotted with meadows allows us to observe, beyond the famous rock, one of the oldest rocks in La Hague, a gneiss, more than 2.1 billion years old.

Points to be aware of
A biotope protection order has been in effect since 2023. Its purpose is to ensure the tranquility of three bat species, the common raven, and the grey seal, and to safeguard the natural habitats containing four rare plants (sea shad, remarkable trichomanes, rock dock, and perennial erythraea). To prevent negative impacts on these species, restrictions are in place (no access to the underground environment except for scientific monitoring, and no climbing on the rocks from November 1st to May 30th, among other restrictions).
