5.7 km and 125 m of elevation gain
The "Wind of Ava" walk takes place on the west coast of La Hague and has the theme "secret cliffs". It allows you to explore a coastline with steep cliffs, and to follow in the footsteps of the customs officers who shaped this path in the 18th century. Although smuggling with the neighboring islands disappeared at the beginning of the 20th century, it dates back to Louis XIV and the protectionist policies of Colbert.
This walk provides an opportunity to discover, in particular, the sandstones of Ecalgrain Bay, whose ages range from 540 to 420 million years old.
