The fruit of a collaboration between the geoparc La Hague and the editions of the BRGM, has just appeared the guide of geological curiosities of the geoparc La Hague.
After a presentation of the large families of rocks and their genesis, the guide returns to the long geological history of the Hague, whose beginnings go back to more than 2 billion years ago. During the last hundreds of thousands of years, the work also makes it possible to understand the climatic variations and the resilience of the man which has been established in this region. Twenty-five sites, witnesses of this wealth in which geological history, history of man and biodiversity are mixed, are described there.
A particular thank you to Alexis Plunder, doctor of geology and geologist at the BRGM, as well as in Yohann Poprawski, Marianne Font-Vertlen, Laurent Lespez, Cyril Marcigny, Sébastien Houiller, Marie-Léa Travert, Hugo Leclerc, Christelle Bonnisse-Guérin for their collaboration.
