An educational area is a small natural territory managed collaboratively by students from a primary, middle, or high school. Guided by their teachers and an environmental education organization, the students meet as a " children's council " and make all decisions concerning their educational area.
The main objectives of educational areas
- To educate young people about eco-citizenship and sustainable development,
- Reconnecting students to nature and their local area,
- Promoting dialogue between students and stakeholders in nature (users, economic actors, managers of natural areas, etc.)
