Did you miss our annual meeting or would you like to delve deeper into the topics covered? The first 2025 edition of the conference "Science in La Hague", which took place on Saturday, November 29 at the Michel-Canoville cultural center, is now available on video.
Organized by the scientific council of the Grand Site and Geopark of La Hague, this conference aims to support the research conducted in our region for many years. It offers a historical and scientific narrative to better understand the multifaceted nature of our peninsula.
This edition focuses particularly on the land-sea continuum that connects us to the neighboring Channel Islands, a region marked by rising sea levels and powerful currents.
Four fascinating presentations to (re)discover.
The program is structured around four major presentations that you can now watch on our YouTube channel:
- La Hague, a land-sea landscape at the heart of a geological puzzle between the English Channel and the Armorican Massif, by David Graindorge
- Around the Raz Blanchard: The Neolithization of the Cotentin Peninsula and the Channel Islands, by François Charraud
- The Biville-Vauville-Héauville dune system: diversity of forms and dynamics, history and management challenges, by Laurent Lespez
- The Raz Blanchard: strong currents, underwater topography and marine energy, by Lucille Furgerot and Pascal Bailly-duBois
